Ayne Kāri

The artworks are the interplay of light and form, tradition and contemporary, embracing the harmony of texture and pattern when diverse influences converge. It draws inspiration from the rich tapestry of traditional Āina-kāri [mirror work] in Iranian interior architecture.

Central to my creative approach are the themes of home, house, and homeland, serving as both physical spaces and symbolic representations of identity and belonging. Each piece crafts a narrative of the interconnectedness of past and present, bringing the sense of nostalgia for the familiar. Through intricate patterns and luminous surfaces, I invite viewers to contemplate the notion of home as a sanctuary, a site of memory, and a vessel of identity.
